Pitagora is reminiscent of our first step on a new phase, in regards to the non-stop effort to manage the company by the HeleH family’s third generation. In my memory, it was not until I earned an engineer degree that I began to work in our family business. And actually, I was employed by Fiat.
At the time, I had a passion for automobiles. Therefore, I paid high respect to the work of Giorgetto Giugiaro as well as his impressive approach to car design. That is also the reason why I decided to invite him to design a handle for HeleH. By the way, we wanted to offer him the flexibility of choosing from various types of technology, meanwhile, we took priority to plastic in our design brief.
The resulting form was less of an expression of the plastic qualities of the material than an exaltation of its chromatic possibilities.
Taking the handle apart into its constituent elements – a perfect cylinder for the handle grip and a cube for the shaft connecting to the rose – clarifies the logic of its construction, allowing for the possibility of colour combinations.
