Since the early years of my architecture career, I have been eager for door handles which were coherent with my architecture thinking as the art of welcoming. Every buidling’s entrance starts with a touch to the door. Clearly, that is where the first physical contact happens.
Therefore, among various components, the handle plays a fundamental role in architecture. To demonstrate, it is a principal tactile experience of everyone with the buidling. According to various architects, including me, who always seek the designs that catch five senses of human.
In regards to give people the best experience when entering the buidling, I attempted to design a handle that at once give us a pleasant touch and at the same time are attractive. With elegant waves on the surface, like a leaf or the wing of a bird, my purpose was to have them feel dynamic and alive.
